How to play?

A short guide on what happens after you join the game, how rooms work, quick matches and the three-marks rule.

1. Entering the game and the lobby

When you open the game's main page you land in the lobby. From here you can:

  • create a new room and send the link to a friend,
  • join one of the public rooms,
  • use the Quick Match option if available.

Creating a room

Click the "Create lobby" button. You will get your own room with a unique code / link that you can share with a friend.

Joining a room

You have three options:

  • click one of the visible rooms in the lobby,
  • enter the room code or paste the received link in the "private game" section.
  • choose Quick Match.

2. The three-marks rule

The game is based on classic tic-tac-toe but with a twist: each player can have at most three of their marks on the board.

In practice it works like this:

  • when you place the 4th mark, the oldest one disappears,
  • the board is constantly "alive" – the pattern of marks changes,
  • you still win by lining up three of your marks in a row.

3. Turn flow

Each turn follows the same flow:

  • 1The top of the screen shows which player has the move.
  • 2You have a limited time to make your move (timer near the board).
  • 3Click the chosen cell – if the move is valid, your mark appears.
  • 4If you already have three marks, the oldest one will be removed automatically.

4. Victory and rematch

The player who first aligns three of their marks in a row (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) wins before the opponent does.

After the match ends you can offer a rematch. The other player receives a simple "Rematch?" prompt — if they accept, a new game starts automatically.

5. Quick Match

The Quick Match option automatically pairs you with an opponent who has Quick Match enabled. If someone accepts the invitation, both of you are placed into a new room and the game begins.
